Ayurveda believes in the prevention of diseases, as well as in curing them. C ree that the health of l human body depends on the balance of the three components main or doshas (humors): wind (Vata), bile (Pitta) and phlegm (Kapha).

Regardless, Ayurveda has been widely accepted in many Western countries and is often promoted as a natural alternative or as a complement to modern medicine.

HOMEOPATHY

The word homeopathy derives from the Greek homoios which means “similar” and from pathos which translates as “suffering.” This alternative and pseudoscientific medicine was developed by Samuel Hahnemann in Germany between the 18th and 19th centuries.

Homeopathy c ree in philosophy  vitalism”, which says that several causes external and internal disturb the  vital force” and negatively affect the health of the people .

Also, a firm that the diseases are present always in the body and that they only cured by something similar , that is, according to homeopaths; what can produce a certain set of symptoms in a healthy person can also be used to treat sick person who is showing similar set of symptoms.

Unlike Ayurveda, homeopathy only focuses on the “cure” of diseases. For this, the substance that is supposed to cause the same symptoms as the disease suffered is diluted in water. This substance goes through several dilution processes until the active ingredients that remain are very low.

In this type of “medicine” (there is no scientific evidence to support it) various plants, animals , synthetic materials and mineral substances prepared by dilution in alcohol or distilled water are used . As a final result (after the substance has been shaken to dilution) only a small percentage of the original ingredients remain .

There have been some cases of arsenic and zinc poisoning. Many times homeopathy has been described as a misleading form of treatment, however, the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act of 1938; recognizes homeopathic remedies as medicines. Because of this, it has been integrated around the world as a form of alternative medicine.
