Creative writing – what is it?

Normal writing is the kind of writing that any of us would do anytime, anywhere, and for any purpose. For example, writing reports and essays inside the classroom, writing for personal or professional reasons, sending and responding to emails, writing letters to friends and family, or even writing journal entries. However, it is not a normal form of writing. this writing can be defined as any form of writing that is written with creativity and the mind’s eye. Yes, to be a creative writer, one must have wide imagination and creativity to develop from the obvious routine and present their ideas in innovative ways. When worldly people see, creative writers observe, They let their thoughts wander and create different creative pieces of writing such as stories and poems based on the common things they observe in life. Furthermore, this writing refers to writing about emotions and feelings in a literary and rich way using literary elements such as pictures. Remember, creative writing always denotes writing “out of the box”.

Types and genres

Creative writing encompasses writing of various types and types of writing. Mainly, this writing can be divided into two categories, such as poetry and prose, and prose is again divided into fiction and non-fiction. The term fiction refers to stories centered on a theme and written about people, places, or their actions and emotions. Short stories and game writings could also belong to the prose section. Poetry includes free verses, songs, and poems written on a certain topic.

Talking about genres, the categories under creative writing products can be of many different genres like epic, tragedy, nature, romance, crime, horror, comedy, lyrical and dramatic, etc.

Elements and general characteristics

Written by anyone, a piece of creative writing generally consists of a series of elements including setting or background, plot or plot, point of view, character (s), theme, motif, mood, dialogue, style, etc..

Although the forms of this writing differ from each other, the general characteristics of this writing remain similar. First, any form of creative writing requires the novelist, playwright, or poet to wander in their imagination, and the result must be very penetrating. An amazing piece of this writing is writing that makes the reader feel that it is real and existing, when in fact it is not. It should be expressive, and everything should be very well described so that the reader sees everything vividly as they read the work. An excellent piece of creative writing includes a large number of adjectives to give exact meanings.

Get into creative writing? For beginners, it is highly recommended to express your deep emotions, options, thoughts, life experiences, etc. For beginners, it is always recommended to start with something simple and write it clearly being creative and not pushy because creativity is simple. it cannot be forced, it can only be recognized naturally and sharpened with time and practice.
