We are all affected by diseases and other types of health problems. Whether we want to or not we have to deal with it, although the truth is that some conditions are worse than others. However, there are also others that are quite common and that we have surely suffered or faced at some point in life; such as: the common flu and allergies. To begin with, the first and most notable difference between flu and allergy is that the second is not a disease and the first is.

Allergies are rejection reactions that occur when our body is exposed to a certain causative agent. They usually occur at regular intervals of time.

Some of the most typical symptoms of allergies are: constant sneezing, sore throat, constant runny nose, skin irritation, watery eyes; among others. These symptoms can appear immediately after being exposed to the causative agent.

Among the main allergic agents we can mention: dust, pollen, some foods, mold, some animals, among others.

Sometimes allergies can also cause fatigue, but they are never accompanied by a fever; because allergies are simply responses of our immune system.

FLU

The common flu has more pronounced symptoms than allergy. It can last from three to fourteen days and does not occur at regular intervals of time. Still, it is more common to occur in winter.

It is a disease, not a simple reaction of the immune system. The flu is caused by a virus and some of the most common symptoms associated with it are: cough, pain, fatigue, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, among others.

These symptoms usually appear after a few days after contracting the virus.
