Difference between Spiders and Insects

Despite the similarities in terms of appearance, the truth is that it should not be confused with insects; since although it is true that they are distantly related to the latter, it is still true that they belong to another order.  Difference between Spiders and Insects

It is likely that until now you have lived believing that spiders are insects and, you still do not understand well what makes them different; If this is the case or you just want a little more information about it, keep reading, because we will explain the difference between insects and spiders below.

SPIDERS  Difference between Spiders and Insects

To begin with, spiders belong to the order  Araneae and are eight-legged animals, whose body is made up of two parts: a cephalothorax (head and thorax combined) and an abdomen.

Likewise, spiders have simple eyes and cannot fly; but they can generate (without exception) the well-known silk threads (although not all of them build “spider webs” with their particular web forms). On the other hand, spiders do not have antennae and their diet consists precisely of insects.

INSECTS

As for insects , they, like spiders, belong to the phylum of arthropods; but not to the order  Araneae. They are characterized by having 6 legs, wings (in many cases) and antennae. They use the latter to be able to smell, while spiders smell with their legs.

The body of insects is divided into three parts: head, thorax and abdomen. Their eyes are compound and most are not capable of making silk threads the way spiders do.

Finely, the feeding of the insects is very varied; they eat from plants to other insects. They present metamorphosis, something that is not observed in spiders.

In this article  I have tried to discuss the main difference between them.
