BLENDER Difference Between Food Processor and Blender
In general, blenders are used more frequently than food processors; especially when working with liquids and fruits . In some cases, this device is also called a mixer or blender.
Although some solid foods can be blended in a blender, the addition of liquid is commonly needed for this appliance to function properly. Without liquid it is very difficult for a blender to move what is thrown into it.
In most cases, blenders are characterized by having a long, thick glass cup that is mounted on a metal base; however, there are many blenders that are made mostly of plastic. In this same order, the glass has a small blade that fits into the ring at the base and that begins to spin when it is connected to the electricity; in this way it is like grinding or stirring the content that is thrown into it.

On the other hand, the food processor (although less used) is considered more versatile than the blender; since it is used for more demanding tasks, such as grinding fairly hard solid food (nuts, meat …) and it also has the advantage that it can work with a greater quantity of food at the same time, since the sharp blades are stronger and large compared to a blender.
To conclude, another characteristic that makes the difference between the blender and the processor is that the latter does not require liquid to be added to complete its task well, because, as already said; the blades are stronger.
