ADJECTIVE  Difference Between Adjective and Adverb

Adjectives are the words that express qualities and are used to describe nouns. They can modify the name or the pronoun and can be used to identify, describe and quantify people or things.

They are distinguished by pointing out particular qualities of the words they are modifying. As examples we have the following sentences: Mariana is beautiful , he is attractive , the grandmother is wise . There are also the quantitative adjectives: one month, she has several moles, there are too many grapes this season ; among others.

ADVERB

On the other hand, adverbs do not modify nouns, but verbs, adjectives or other adverbs. Unlike adjectives, they are not limited to the description of people or things, but rather describe complete sentences.

There are several types of adverbs, there are to indicate the place, time, manner or form, circumstance, degree and cause. Some examples can be found in the following sentences: (of place) I promise that I will be here , (of time) I will do my homework now , (of way) she walks slowly , (of circumstance) he accidentally spilled the coffee when the bell rang , (by grade) I’m very happy to see you , (by cause) I drew badly due to the movement of the train .

Finally, remember that when the word is describing the noun or name it is an adjective, while it is an adverb if it describes or provides more information about the verb, the adjective or another adverb.
