TO ILLUSTRATE  Difference between Demonstration and Illustration

Illustrating consists of teaching s omething or explaining something with examples. It also consists of the use of pictures, drawings or paintings to better understand a subject or topic.

Generally, the person who is in charge of illustrating to others what he does is teach them new things; and for this he often uses graphics, photos, drawings and even textbooks.

Whoever illustrates could also use figurative language, metaphors and anecdotes to clarify and make themselves understood better.

DEMONSTRATION

In most cases, we call the kind of explanation that is done through action a proof. For example, if you go to the store to buy a camera and the person who attends you explains how the device works while using it according to the steps he is explaining to you; then it is a demonstration.

The demonstration could also consist of the expression of feelings and attitudes, or the use of reasoning that serves to prove what is affirmed.

Many times demonstrating and illustrating go hand in hand, because people tend to use both to make themselves understood better; Hence, when trying to demonstrate something, experiments, examples, practical application and illustrations are often used.
