DUKUN DIET Difference Between Dukun and Ketogenic Diet
This plan was proposed by Dr. Pierre Dukun and the main characteristic of the Dukun diet is that it allows those who follow it to consume foods that are very rich in protein, in addition to being able to eat the amounts they want. However, carbohydrates or carbohydrates and fats are reduced to a minimum daily.
It consists of several phases (4 in total) in which the foods that must be consumed and those that have to be excluded vary. This particular characteristic is what has allowed this method to be considered fraudulent and unhealthy by the health authorities of various countries; since it is assumed that a really healthy diet should not consider certain food groups as “bad” and exaggerate the properties and benefits of those that are considered “good”.
Since the amount of carbohydrates that can be consumed must be low, the Dukun diet does not drink alcohol, vegetables are not eaten in the first phase and fruits are only eaten in the phase in which weight loss has been achieved.
This diet has a minimum period of 10 days for every kilo that has been lost before eating normally begins again.
This diet has a lot in common with the Atkins, however, in this case the carbohydrates are even more restricted. This plan was designed to put the body into a state of ketosis by using fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates. In this way the fat is burned and the person loses weight.
Unlike the Dukun diet, the ketogenic diet frequently uses healthy fats and vegetables can be eaten from day one. You do not drink milk (which is consumed frequently in the first case) and you can drink alcohol and eat fruits from the second phase.
Finally, instead of 10, the ketogenic diet has a minimum period of 11 days before the person returns to eating normally.
